lyrics

As I gaze at these black skies
My breath leaves me confused
Why should I keep struggling
To endure this bitter life?

A light is flickering
In front of my eyes
My back hurts
For I carry the weight of uncertainity
There’s no deeper cage
Than the emotion of man
The emotion of a happy man
Realising it’s a mere, dying dream

My shadows are drunk and weeping
My hand shakes when I touch
When I touch your face. I’m sleeping
With death, turned it’s back to me.

A light is flickering
A candle on my desk
Where I breed the silence
Of this mournful quest.

There’s no deeper cage
Than the emotion of man
The emotion of a happy man
Realising it’s a mere dream.

My shadows are drunk and weeping
My hand shakes when I touch
When I touch your face. I’m sleeping
With death, turned it’s back to me.

I don’t know where I come from
I don’t know why I’m here
’tis the earth that needed my presence
Without my consent.

There’re seven lights
On the edge of this shore
They push me to drown

I am guilty for this absence of myself

I didn’t mean to shatter the hopes of those I loved
I am humiliated that there’s flesh around me
I know no greater grief than to witness (them): one by one
Washed ashore by the tides of false hope.

There’s a lighthouse in the abyss
Where the innocents can pray
To an unknown higher power
To cast memory astray.

A light no longer flickering hides my breath
I have engulfed a miriad of tears in this bitter suicide
Where I go there’s no need of love
There’s no need of sirens and wavy eyes.
I leave this bitter world behind
I would love to say it differently,
I would live to witness hope rejoin us
But there’s simply too much misery.
